Robbie specialises in all aspects of park and playspace construction, from community consultation and design through to construction, including for large-budget projects such as the $700,000 Yarra Glen Adventure Playground.

Rob is an experienced playspace risk assessor and can offer solutions-based advice on all issues related to risk management in your playspace, per AS4685 and relevant building codes.

Before founding Park and Playspace Robbie worked for various employers including a large Victorian interface council, a well-known sport and recreation consultancy, and the Melbourne office of a mid-sized Sydney-based commercial Landscape Architecture firm.

Robbie believes that providing opportunities for calculated risk-taking and interaction with nature is essential for healthy physical and mental development, regardless of age or ability.

He is an active member of Play Australia and a regular presenter at professional development seminars. Recent presentations include squeezing maximum value out of realistic budgets, and rocks and logs in playgrounds.

Robbie works in partnership with his children Fern and Griffin, who insist on being allowed to test drive all their dad's playspace projects.
